This is a 12 month fixed term, part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency

The Role

Serpentine PS is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Health and Physical Education teacher to join our team.

The successful applicant will ideally:

  • be passionate about Health and Physical Education and supporting students to develop positive lifelong habits;
  • create engaging, inclusive and purposeful learning experiences for students from Kindergarten to Year 6;
  • have high expectations for all students and a commitment to ensuring every child can experience success;
  • build positive, respectful relationships with students, staff and families;
  • be committed to inclusive practice and ensuring all students can participate meaningfully in physical activity;
  • work collaboratively with classroom teachers and contribute positively to our whole-school approach;
  • be willing to actively participate in coaching, professional learning and collaborative planning;
  • be organised, reliable and able to contribute to the wider life of our school; and
  • bring enthusiasm, energy and a sense of fun to their teaching.

The successful applicant would be responsible for the delivery of the Health and Physical Education curriculum across the school and will ideally work closely with staff to support consistent approaches to student wellbeing, engagement and physical activity.

A teacher with experience planning carnivals and whole school sport programs is advantageous.
