The Role

We are seeking an engaged and dedicated Mathematics teacher who will contribute positively to our college culture.

The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, staff and community members. They should have the skills to collaborate and create engaging learning opportunities for our students.

Our Mathematics Learning Area delivers a diverse range of courses to meet student needs and interests, so we are seeking an innovative teacher to deliver curriculum across Years 7 to12, an ability to teach Mathematics Specialist course in senior school would be highly desirable as we grow our Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) offerings.

Hammond Park (SC) has an Instructional Framework, and a Performance Growth and Coaching Framework based on coaching and continuous feedback. The successful applicant will ideally be willing to grow and learn our instructional approaches and be open to observations and feedback in a supportive culture of shared practice and learning from one another.

The college also places wellbeing at the centre of what we do and has a Wellbeing Framework based on the Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Achievement and Health (PERMAH) principles. PERMAH influences our policies and procedures, and forms the curriculum taught in our Homeroom Program and within learning areas. Staff and student wellbeing is a priority and working from our strengths is important.
