We are seeking to establish a pool of Mathematics Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Suitable applicants should ideally be committed to achieving the best outcomes for all students and be passionate about the delivery of innovative and engaging curriculum. They should have high expectations, a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They will ideally be flexible and adaptive teachers, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction. Suitable applicants will be expected to confidently cater to a range of student ability levels including those requiring numeracy support, as well as delivering Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) level Mathematics. Experience in delivering ATAR Mathematics Applications and ATAR Mathematics Methods in both Years 11 and 12 would be advantageous.

As part of your standard practice, you would reflect on and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practices using a variety of methods available within the school. As Mathematics Teacher, you would provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. Creating and promoting an environment conducive to active and positive learning and which caters for different student learning needs will also be a strength of the suitable applicants. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills; knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices are highly desirable. The desired applicants will ideally use explicit success criteria and provide students with an innovative and engaging environment and regularly involve Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in their practice.
