The Role

The successful applicant will ideally possess an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and ability to teach students of varying ability levels across Years 7 to 12, including Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) Mathematics, in a dynamic and highly engaging manner. Experience in teaching all levels of Mathematics, including Mathematics Methods and Specialist courses is highly desirable.

Ideally, the successful applicant should be an innovative, dedicated and highly motivated educator with the ability to develop high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. Strong knowledge and skills in being able to lead and embed numeracy strategies are valued, as is the ability to integrate innovative and engaging Information and Communication (ICT) into classroom learning, and implement instructional strategies that develop analytical, inquiry and critical thinking skills.

The successful applicant will ideally be highly committed, collaborative and possess a strong ability to work effectively to develop high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students and work effectively with our dedicated Mathematics team. They should actively participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities and continually reflect on their own teaching practice to enhance student engagement and to sustain a culture of high-quality teaching. The successful applicant would work in collaboration with the Head of Learning Area and the Mathematics team to lead strategies and identified initiatives in Mathematics that continue to drive a culture of ongoing improvement in relation to student engagement, classroom teaching and student performance across Years 7 to 12.
