The Role

Dalyellup College is seeking to employ a passionate, dedicated and effective practitioner who believes that every student can thrive in the nurturing environment that we provide.

The Teacher - Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) will work collaboratively with the College’s Leadership team, and school staff, to provide an inclusive environment that provides additional support for individual students and their learning needs. As the leader for learning support across the school, they will have a hands-on role where they will work in partnership with teachers and Education Assistants (EA’s) to ensure teaching and learning adjustments for students with disabilities and learning difficulties are implemented across the curriculum to meet individual student needs.

The LSC will liaise with key stakeholders in our College community, including meeting with newly enrolled students and families, as well as maintaining effective and timely communication with existing students and their families to ensure that every child has access to resources that support their education and social development.

A key aspect of the role is providing professional learning and direct coaching to teachers on designing specialised, differentiated curriculum to address the diverse learning needs of students facing educational barriers, as well as effective reporting practices using the Special Educational Needs (SEN) templates in Response to Teaching and Planning (RTP). Key skills and attributes for this role include the ability to foster positive relationships with key stakeholders and provide timely support to students, staff and families using a student-centred case management model. The successful applicant will ideally have exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively, prioritise, keep accurate records and the ability to analyse data to inform planning and practice that improves outcomes for students.

The successful applicant for the LSC position will ideally share our core commitment to provide individualised education pathways
