The School
At Booragoon Primary School (PS) we provide a positive, collaborative and cooperative environment for our students to help nurture a lifelong love of learning. Our students have a deep connection to, and pride in their school, with a number of families now having a third-generation member attending. Most noticeable in our school is the genuine care and mutual respect between staff and students.
Our teaching and learning is designed to be challenging, innovative and supportive for all students. This is reflected in our school vision of establishing a community that is safe, positive and stimulating, where individual differences are appreciated, understood and accepted and social values are promoted.
Our Booragoon PS motto, "Be Sincere," underpins the way we learn, work and interact with one another, reflecting our commitment to our school values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Belonging. The Booragoon Way is central to our culture and approach to teaching and learning. It ensures that students learn in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where high expectations are balanced with support. Our staff work collaboratively to build strong relationships with students, families and the wider community, creating a school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Our community is extremely supportive of the school, evidenced by a strong, vibrant P&C and an effective School Board. We have many dedicated parent volunteers who are willing to assist throughout the year with classroom activities, excursions, carnival days, fundraising events and the Dads and Kids Camp Out.
