We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
East Victoria Park Primary School is a Level 5 Independent Public School located in the vibrant inner-city suburb of East Victoria Park. Established in 1914, our school has been preparing students for the future for more than a century. Guided by our motto, Celebrating Diversity, we provide a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed. Our culturally diverse school community includes more than 410 students representing approximately 55 cultural backgrounds.
We are committed to building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy through consistent, evidence-informed, whole-school teaching practices. Our teachers and support staff work collaboratively to deliver connected, differentiated learning programs that respond to students’ strengths and needs.
We maintain high expectations for student achievement, behaviour, attendance and engagement. Our whole-school Positive Behaviour Support approach explicitly teaches and reinforces expected behaviours, guided by our CORE values—Care, Organise, Respect and Engage.
Students are at the centre of our decision-making, and we value parents and carers as partners in their children’s learning. Our School Board and active Parents and Citizens’ Association contribute significantly to our school’s strategic direction and strong community culture.

The Role
We are ideally seeking enthusiastic and committed teachers who are passionate about contributing to a consistent, collaborative and connected approach to teaching and learning across the school. Suitable applicants should display the ability to establish a positive, orderly and inclusive classroom environment characterised by high expectations, clear routines, effective classroom management and individualised student support. A commitment to implementing Positive Behaviour Support practices and embedding the school’s CORE values in everyday teaching is highly regarded.
Ideally suitable applicants should possess strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge, including an understanding of high-impact, evidence-informed teaching practices aligned with the Department of Education’s Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact. Experience implementing consistent whole-school teaching practices, using student achievement data to inform planning and differentiation, and collaborating with colleagues through shared planning, assessment, moderation and professional dialogue is highly desirable. For classroom-based roles a knowledge of or experience with Shaping Minds, InitiaLit and Talk for Writing is highly regarded, along with experience implementing structured daily reviews in literacy and numeracy.
We value reflective and collaborative educators who are committed to continuous professional growth and improving student outcomes. Applicants who display strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to engage in professional feedback and coaching, and a passion for building positive relationships with students, colleagues, families and the wider community are encouraged to apply. A commitment to contributing to the school’s culture of continuous improvement and supporting every student to achieve their full potential is highly regarded.
