We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2028. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Forrestdale Primary School (PS) is a Level 4 school with approximately 240 students, located within a semi-rural region and backs onto Forrestdale Lake. The Role

We invite applications from K to 6 educators ideally with exceptional interpersonal skills, who collaborate to place students at the centre of decision making, believe that all children can learn and succeed, and prioritise restorative practices to build strong, respectful and trusting relationships with students.

Suitable applicants will ideally display:

• A collaborative commitment to maximising the potential of every student and a willingness to take collective responsibility for the success and wellbeing of all learners.
• A strong understanding of 'Teaching for Impact' strategies to maximise engagement.
• An excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and a strong ability to use student achievement data to effectively plan, teach and implement targeted intervention strategies to differentiate. 
• Familiarity with, or a willingness to engage in, whole-school programs and approaches including UFLI and Talk for Writing (K to 2), and Word Origins and Seven Steps to Writing Success (Years 3 to 6).
• Experience with programs and resources such as Friendly Schools Plus and Paul Swan Mathematics will be highly regarded.
• Commitment to working within a Professional Learning Community (PLC), alongside colleagues to improve student outcomes through shared expertise, data-informed practice and continuous improvement.

Suitable applicants with an Early Childhood focus, a strong understanding of play-based learning, intentional teaching practices and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) will be beneficial.
