We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Gooseberry Hill Primary School (PS) is located approximately 20 kilometres from the CBD in a unique bush setting with nearby national parks and local reserves and it is often frequented by a range of bird life and native wildlife. The school was established in 1972 and during this time has created an enviable record of being a nurturing school, committed to excellence and supported by a caring community.
The School became an Independent Public School in 2012 and this has given the school community some measure of autonomy to steer its guided path in the government school system. The school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

The Role
As a K-6 Teacher, you will ideally bring a reflective and student-centred approach while contributing to a supportive and collaborative school culture. The suitable applicants should value strong, respectful relationships with students, colleagues and the wider school community, with experience in explicit teaching and evidence-informed practice highly regarded. A willingness to contribute to consistent whole-school approaches that support high-quality teaching and learning would also be valued.
Sound understanding of student data and its use in planning, differentiation and monitoring progress is highly desirable. The suitable applicants will ideally be comfortable reflecting on the impact of their teaching, working with colleagues to review student progress and adjusting practice to support positive outcomes for all learners.
An interest in ongoing professional growth is highly regarded, including participation in instructional coaching, constructive feedback and reflective practice. We value teachers who enjoy learning with and from colleagues and who share a commitment to creating an inclusive environment where students are supported to grow, achieve and succeed.
