The School
Success Primary School (SPS) is an Independent Public School located in the City of Cockburn, providing quality, inclusive education for students from K-6 across both mainstream and education support programs. Guided by our moral purpose, ‘Empowering learners to thrive through quality, inclusive education’, and our school motto, ‘Unlock Your Potential’, we are committed to ensuring every student is supported to learn, grow and succeed. Our inclusive, one-school model is central to who we are, creating meaningful opportunities for students and staff to learn, participate and connect across the school.
Staff at SPS are committed to high-quality teaching and continuous improvement. They work collaboratively to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning; use student data to inform teaching and intervention; participate in classroom observation, feedback and professional learning; and implement agreed whole-school practices with consistency.
At SPS, we value:
- Strive for Success
- Take Responsibility
- Always Inclusive
- Respectful
- Stay Safe
These STARS values underpin a professional culture built on trust, collaboration, reflection and shared responsibility. We place a strong emphasis on developing high-performing teams, with staff supporting one another and contributing collectively to school improvement. DiSC profiling is embedded within our approach to strengthening professional relationships, helping staff build greater awareness of themselves and others and work more effectively within diverse teams. Our distributed leadership model further provides staff with opportunities to develop their expertise, contribute to whole-school priorities and pursue leadership pathways.

The Role
We are seeking to establish a pool of passionate and highly effective Early Childhood, Junior Primary, Senior Primary and Specialist teachers, including teachers of Physical Education, Science, Music, Visual Arts and Languages (LOTE). We are ideally looking for educators who are committed to working collaboratively, contributing positively to our professional culture and supporting strong outcomes for all students across SPS.
Suitable applicants will ideally display strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and the capacity to plan and deliver explicit, engaging and differentiated learning experiences. They should hold high expectations for all students, build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues, and use assessment and student achievement data to identify needs, inform planning and monitor progress.
At SPS, consistency in teaching practice is a shared responsibility. Our Keys to Success (K2S) instructional playbook, aligned with the Department of Education’s Teaching for Impact, brings together our agreed whole-school practices and provides a shared framework for effective teaching and learning. It supports staff to strengthen their practice through collaboration, reflection, feedback and professional learning, while promoting consistent approaches that improve outcomes for students.
Applicants should display a commitment to inclusive education and creating safe, predictable and orderly learning environments. Knowledge and experience aligned with our whole-school directions — including high-impact instruction, data-informed practice, differentiation and intervention, Positive Behaviour Support, and collaborative continuous improvement — will be highly regarded. Where applicants may not yet have experience with specific SPS programs or approaches, they should be able to display transferable skills, sound pedagogical knowledge, adaptability and a capacity to apply existing expertise to new whole-school practices and programs.
We are looking for educators who ideally bring professional curiosity, initiative, flexibility and a genuine commitment to continuous improvement. Suitable applicants would join a supportive and collaborative school where staff expertise is valued and professional growth is actively encouraged.
