Inspire, Belong and Thrive at Narrogin Senior High School (SHS)!

At Narrogin SHS, we believe great teaching transforms lives. Set in the heart of a welcoming regional community, our school offers educators the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying strong professional support and genuine work–life balance.

We are seeking dedicated teachers who are passionate about student success, value collaboration, and are eager to contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture. Whether you are building your career or bringing established expertise, Narrogin SHS is a place where your work truly matters.

The Role

As the successful applicant, you will ideally display the professional knowledge, skills and experience required to deliver a high-quality, engaging and relevant secondary Home Economics curriculum. You will build positive and productive relationships with students and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance student engagement, achievement and wellbeing.

Highly regarded will be your ability to collaboratively plan, implement and evaluate effective teaching and learning programs that cater for a diverse range of student needs. You will be committed to creating and maintaining a supportive, inclusive and safe learning environment where students are encouraged to develop practical skills, critical thinking and confidence, enabling them to achieve their personal best.

With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will work closely with students, staff, families and the wider community to promote positive educational outcomes. You will ideally display a reflective and innovative approach to teaching, using evidence-informed practice to continually improve student learning outcomes. The ability to effectively integrate contemporary technologies and industry-relevant practices within the Home Economics learning area will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant should contribute positively to the school culture through teamwork, professionalism and a commitment to continuous improvement. A willingness to embrace new opportunities, challenge traditional approaches where appropriate and support students to thrive in a changing world will be valued.

Please note we will support participation in the LEAP program for applicants who have an interest in the learning area.
