The School

The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Health and Physical Education teacher who is passionate about high-quality teaching and learning and is ready to contribute to the ongoing leadership and development of the Health and Physical Education learning area.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and highly capable educator to undertake responsibilities supporting the leadership of the department in an Associate Head of Learning Area (HOLA) capacity.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the HOLA and leadership team, with opportunities to contribute to:

• Curriculum planning and development
• Moderation and quality assurance processes
• Analysis and review of student achievement data
• Supporting staff to improve teaching and learning
• Monitoring student progress and achievement
• Assessment and feedback practices
• Strategic planning and continuous improvement across the learning area
• Building a strong culture of high expectations, collaboration and professional growth

Experience teaching ATAR Physical Education Studies is highly desirable, with experiences including:

• Current experience teaching ATAR Physical Education Studies
• Knowledge of senior secondary curriculum and assessment requirements
• Experience with ATAR marking and moderation
• Involvement in professional networks or communities related to Physical Education Studies
