This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027

The School
Middle Swan Primary School (PS) is a large, well-resourced school, catering for approximately 350 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school population is drawn mainly from Stratton and the nearby suburbs of Jane Brook and Middle Swan PS. The school’s priorities include the focus on building staff capacity, developing the foundations of literacy and numeracy and the social and emotional well-being of students and staff.

The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate teacher of Health and Physical Education (HPE), with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should use professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant primary HPE curriculum. The successful applicant will ideally be an independent practitioner capable of coordinating whole school events and working with all staff. Experience in planning and facilitating whole school activities including interschool carnivals is ideal. Graduates are welcome to apply.
The successful applicant will ideally be an enthusiastic adopter of explicit teaching and effective behaviour management across all years in a primary school. They will ideally be committed to personal and professional growth and will embrace opportunities for collaboration.
Ideally, the desired applicant will possess the ability to develop innovative and engaging lessons that are fun and purposeful but promote skill development and a strong sporting culture
