Wiluna Remote Community School is seeking an enthusiastic, and flexible teacher who is committed to building strong relationships and delivering meaningful learning for students.

Our small, well-resourced K–12 school on Martu Country in the northern Goldfields offers the opportunity to make a visible and lasting difference. With around 60 students, we work closely with families, Elders and community partners to create learning experiences that reflect students’ strengths, culture and aspirations.

Multi-age learning groups and integrated curriculum give teachers the flexibility to develop authentic, practical learning experiences for students that are real, relational and relatable. Functional literacy, numeracy and life skills underpin teacher-led projects, with local partnerships connecting classroom learning to community life and future pathways.

Two-way learning is central to our approach where we connect Martu cultural knowledge and on-Country learning with Western Australian Curriculum outcomes. Over the past two years, we have strengthened our teaching and learning program through the Martu Seasonal Calendar and a locally developed curriculum framework created in consultation with community members. This work was recognised in the 2025 WA Education Awards for Excellence in Cultural Responsiveness.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher who builds positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

The successful applicant will plan engaging, practical HPE lessons and actively build partnerships with schools in close proximity to Wiluna.  We value a flexible, collaborative teacher who contributes to  connected whole-school approaches and is committed to ongoing professional growth.
