We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Coolbellup Learning Centre is a specialist education support school providing high-quality teaching and learning programs for students with disabilities and complex learning needs from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Our students present with a diverse range of diagnoses, including intellectual disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other high support needs. We are committed to creating engaging, inclusive and personalised learning environments that enable every student to achieve meaningful progress and reach their full potential.

Through small class sizes and a highly collaborative team approach, we deliver individualised programs focused on communication, independence, academic achievement, social development and functional life skills. The Role

We are seeking passionate and highly effective Education Support Teachers who are committed to improving outcomes for students with diverse and complex learning needs. Suitable applicants will display strong knowledge of contemporary education support practices and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, student-centred programs.

Successful applicants should build positive, inclusive classroom environments and display exceptional interpersonal skills when working with students, families and colleagues. They will be responsible for developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring student progress through assessment and data analysis, and contributing to comprehensive reporting processes that support student achievement.

Highly regarded applicants will ideally display a commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and collaborative professional learning. They should contribute positively to our whole-school approach and actively engage in reflective practice to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

As a valued member of our team, you will utilise high-impact teaching strategies and deliver engaging, differentiated learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of students with high support needs. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, visual supports, sensory-informed practices and other specialised approaches will be highly regarded, as will the ability to adapt curriculum, assessment and learning environments to maximise student participation and success.
