The Role

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our team at Carey Park PS. We are looking for a teacher with exemplary teaching skills, a strong motivation to excel, and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality and evidence-informed practice. Suitable applicants will demonstrate a strong belief that every child can learn, grow and achieve their potential. You will be creative, responsive and reflective in your approach, recognising and celebrating the individual strengths, interests, backgrounds and needs of every child.

As an Early Childhood teacher, you will establish a nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports the development of the whole child. You will provide purposeful, play-based and explicit learning experiences that promote curiosity, confidence, independence, communication and a love of learning. You will know your students well and use observation, assessment and evidence to inform planning, differentiate learning and respond to individual developmental and educational needs.

Our teachers are valued members of the Carey Park PS community, building genuine, respectful and positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community. You will create a classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, connected and empowered to participate in their learning. A strong understanding of early childhood development and a commitment to supporting children's social, emotional and academic growth will be highly valued.

The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills and contribute positively to whole-school priorities and team structures. You will be committed to reflective practice, ongoing professional learning and using evidence to continually improve your teaching. A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and support staff to achieve positive outcomes for every child will be highly valued.

You will demonstrate a commitment to positive behaviour, wellbeing and engagement, using proactive and responsive strategies to develop children's self-regulation, independence and sense of belonging. You will contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture and support consistent whole-school approaches to student wellbeing and behaviour.

We are seeking a teacher who is passionate about Early Childhood Education, committed to high-quality teaching and learning, and enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the lives of young children. Teachers who are reflective, innovative, collaborative and committed to ongoing professional growth are encouraged to apply
