The Role

This is a high visibility student services role across the college, supporting students in phases of learning under the direction of three student services managers.  The role/s will vary depending upon the phases of learning assigned to each successful applicant, for example, lower school students require different support from senior school students. An understanding of senior school academic tracking would be beneficial for senior years, while a focus on student relationships, bullying intervention, behaviour support would be advantages for the lower years. The suitable applicants will ideally assist in daily check-ins with students through a restorative lens, experience with P3-P3-F3 and the work of Restoring Teaching (Adam VOIGT) would be advantageous as Wanneroo SC is a Real Schools partner. Relationship building with students and families is foremost, and an ability to support students with challenging behaviours is a key attribute of the successful applicants.

The suitable applicants will also develop supportive links between the student, the family, the college and other appropriate agencies in the community along with establishing a network of partnerships with other government and non-government agencies.

Additionally, suitable applicants would be expected to actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, the breakfast and social clubs within the college and with other agencies as appropriate. Aiding and following the directions of the student services managers in crisis management and response duties as required.
