About the role
The Student Support Services team is dedicated to helping students achieve success throughout their learning journey. Through a range of wellbeing, pastoral care and engagement initiatives, the team works to create a positive and inclusive student experience.

The Student Support Advisor delivers targeted, time-limited interventions for students experiencing complex or multiple challenges that affect their participation and success in training. Working within an early intervention framework, you will help improve retention, strengthen student wellbeing, and support a safe and positive learning environment for both students and staff.

To be successful in this role you will have experience working with individuals facing complex personal, social or educational challenges, strong relationship-building skills, and a relevant qualification in education, youth work, mental health, community services, counselling, social or behavioural sciences, or a related discipline.

Suitability and Eligibility Requirements

To be considered eligible for employment, you must possess current and valid Australian work rights, such as Australian citizenship, permanent residency or an appropriate working visa. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

You must also hold, or have the ability to obtain, a Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and a Working with Children (WWC) Card. Appointment will be subject to the satisfactory completion of any mandatory pre-employment screening requirements.
