Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within DOH and/or the wider WA public sector. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: The Strategic Projects Manager leads and manages complex, high-impact strategic projects for the Licensing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit (LARU), with a strong focus on delivering outcomes that support organisational priorities, regulatory effectiveness, and stakeholder needs. The role is responsible for identifying emerging trends, opportunities, risks, and policy developments, and translating these into innovative and practical projects that improve regulatory services and outcomes. The Strategic Projects Manager provides strategic leadership in project planning, governance, implementation, and change management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and achieve intended benefits.

A key strategic project and current focus of the role is the leadership of legislative policy development, including the review, interpretation, and amendment of Acts and regulations, with the ability to manage complex legislative processes and stakeholder consultation.

The position fosters productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, influence outcomes, and support successful project delivery.

As a member of the LARU and Patient Safety and Clinical Quality (PSCQ) Senior Management Team, the Strategic Projects Manager contributes to strategic planning, organisational performance, and the achievement of patient safety and clinical quality objectives across the health system.
