About the role
Play an important role in ensuring public transport services continue to operate effectively during planned and unplanned disruptions across the Transperth network. Working within the Services Development team, you will assist in planning and coordinating disruption responses, special events, rail replacement services, and service reviews that support a reliable customer experience.
This is a diverse and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with internal teams, bus contractors, government agencies, and community stakeholders to minimise disruption impacts on passengers. You will also contribute to service planning initiatives through research, analysis of transport trends, passenger surveys, and the identification of opportunities to improve public transport services across metropolitan and regional communities.
The role provides a unique opportunity to combine operational problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, customer service, and strategic transport planning to help shape the future of public transport in Western Australia.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience managing contracts, service providers or operational service delivery, ideally within public transport, infrastructure, local government or other customer-focused environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships, coordinate across multiple parties and confidently manage competing priorities.
- Experience delivering customer-focused information services, particularly during service changes, disruptions, projects or operational events where clear and timely communication is critical.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, undertake research and provide practical recommendations to improve services and customer experiences.
- An understanding of urban and regional planning principles and the important role transport services play in connecting communities, supporting growth and meeting customer needs.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful operational and planning outcomes.
