About the job

1 x 12 month full-time fixed term opportunity with possible extension and/or permanency.

This position reports to the Service Delivery Manager and is a subject matter expert involved in all aspects of ICT Service Management, with a focus on ITIL process maturity and Major Incident Management. The role supports Technology Services to build on our strong operational foundations and work to further align our ICT Service Management policies and processes to industry best practices, such as ITIL and Essential 8.

The role has the following key focus areas:

  • ICT Delivery Management - Supporting the management, improvement and maturing of ITIL processes to achieve high quality service delivery across Technology Services.
  • Major Incident Management - Champion the Major Incidents and Problem Management, taking over operations for Major Incident Management within Business Hours and ensuring that at any one time a single point of contact exists throughout all Major Incidents.
  • Problem Management – Ensure a strong focus on Problem Management, including hosting regular Problem Management meetings to ensure traction on investigation of root causes following through to resolution via permanent fix.

Whilst this role does not have any direct reports, it will be expected to lead, coach and develop people across the organisation through ICT changes and improvements.

We’re looking for

  • A collaborative and pro-active professional with strong experience in an ICT Service Delivery, Service Management, or IT Operations
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management best practices
  • A relationship builder with strong stakeholder management and engagement
  • Someone who can coach, lead and train other teams through process change and improvements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
