Position Profile and Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Workforce Reporting Consultant to play a key role in delivering workforce intelligence, reporting solutions, and data-driven recommendations that support organisational workforce planning and performance outcomes. This senior position combines workforce reporting, analytics, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to deliver meaningful workforce outcomes across a complex hospital and health service environment.

This position shall work closely with executive leaders and key stakeholders, you will provide expert workforce intelligence, reporting and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making, workforce planning and service improvement initiatives. You will lead strategic workforce projects, governance and compliance activities, and drive initiatives that align with SMHS strategic priorities.

A key focus of the role is championing and operationalising the SMHS Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan, fostering a workplace culture where all employees feel valued, respected and empowered to contribute. Through data-driven insights and collaborative partnerships, you will identify trends, opportunities and risks, helping to improve workforce capability, performance and employee experience. As the Senior Workforce Reporting Consultant, you will join the Workforce Strategy Team and play a key role in providing high-level workforce intelligence, analysis and reporting to support executive decision-making, workforce planning and organisational performance. You will work with complex workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, delivering meaningful insights that inform strategy, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
