About Strategy and Performance Accountability

Strategy and Performance Accountability partners collaboratively with all business areas to deliver agency‑wide strategic priorities ensuring a unified evidence-informed approach.  We provide strategic insight and lead the agency in upholding corporate, legislative, and social obligations, and support business areas to do the same through capability building and guidance. In addition to our internal partners, we work closely with key stakeholders, portfolio statutory authorities and across government to deliver shared outcomes.

About the role

Are you an experienced strategy and project professional who thrives on turning strategic priorities into practical outcomes?

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced professionals to join our Strategy and Transformation team, with opportunities available at both the Level 6 Senior Strategy and Project Officer and Level 7 Principal Strategy and Project Officer levels.

As the Senior Strategy and Project Officer (Level 6), you will play a key role in developing and coordinating strategic planning and projects that support the Department’s strategic direction and delivery of whole-of-agency priorities. You will contribute to key strategic and corporate priorities, working collaboratively with business areas, senior leaders, statutory authorities and government stakeholders to plan, coordinate and influence initiatives that deliver high-quality outcomes.

As the Principal Strategy and Project Officer (Level 7), you will lead and contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and complex projects that support organisational priorities and objectives. You will provide high-level research, analysis and strategic advice to inform planning and executive decision-making, while ensuring projects are effectively planned, delivered, monitored and evaluated.

In both roles, you will work collaboratively across the organisation to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, identify emerging issues and opportunities, and support the delivery of high-quality strategic and performance outcomes.

The opportunities

We currently have:

• One permanent, full-time, (75hrs p/f) Level 6 Senior Strategy and Project Officer position available.

• One fixed-term, full-time, (75hrs p/f) Level 7 Principal Strategy and Project Officer position, available until September 2027, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

While full-time employment is preferred, part-time arrangements may be considered for the right applicant.
