This is a Fixed Term Full-Time (1.0 FTE) opportunity commencing as soon as possible until 19 February 2027, with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

What is our Senior Social Worker role?

The Senior Social Worker NDIS provides advanced social work services to NDIS consumers of the Community Adult Mental Health Service. They travel across the North metropolitan health service clinics providing clinical assessment, coordination and support for clinicians in the application and progression of NDIS access and plans for consumers. Working in collaboration with the Community Development Officer, multidisciplinary teams, and NDIS service providers, they facilitate interagency cooperation and coordination to identify and reduce systemic barriers impacting on mental health consumers.

This position can be worked from various Community Adult Mental Health clinics depending on applicant preference and clinical demand/need across the sites. Preferred location will be discussed with the preferred applicant; however, they will be a requirement to attend across multiple sites across Butler, Wanneroo, Mirrabooka, Osborne Park and Subiaco.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service or the wider public service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
