Position Profile: Plans, organises and delivers clinical pharmacy services to service points within the region and key external agencies.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time, and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.

Suitability Criteria:

  1. Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Leadership
    Demonstrated ability to provide advanced clinical pharmacy leadership that ensures the delivery of safe, evidence-based and patient-centred medicines management services across diverse hospital and regional healthcare settings.
  2. Service Improvement and Workforce Development
    Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and improve clinical pharmacy services, including supporting and developing staff, identifying service improvement opportunities and contributing to quality and innovation outcomes within a regional health service environment.
  3. Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
    Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with patients, multidisciplinary teams, external stakeholders and community partners to achieve positive health service outcomes.
  4. Medicines Governance and Compliance
    Demonstrated ability to apply professional judgement and uphold medicines governance by ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and professional standards while managing clinical risk and promoting safe pharmacy practice.
  5. Regional Service Delivery and Adaptability
    Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and autonomously within a regional and geographically dispersed health service, adapting to changing priorities while supporting equitable access to pharmacy services across multiple service locations.
