The Opportunity

We are excited to offer a permanent Senior Program Manager opportunity within our Technology Transformation function.

The Senior Program Manager will lead the delivery of complex, enterprise-wide technology transformation programs. Reporting to the Head of Technology Transformation, you will provide strategic direction and disciplined execution across scope, schedule, budget, quality and governance, ensuring initiatives deliver sustainable business outcomes and transition effectively into business-as-usual operations.

The Senior Program Manager role combines program leadership with the development of high-performing project and transformation teams. You will coordinate interdependent workstreams, manage risks and dependencies, strengthen delivery capability, oversee vendors and delivery partners, and provide clear advice to senior stakeholders. Working across business and technology functions, you will champion effective governance, benefits realisation, collaboration and continuous improvement in support of the Insurance Commission’s strategic objectives and values of Care, Courage and Collaboration.

About You

You are an accomplished technology transformation leader who thrives on turning strategy into results. With relevant tertiary and/or qualifications, sound judgement and a proven record of delivering complex, enterprise-scale programs, you bring the confidence and focus to lead meaningful transformation.

You will bring demonstrated experience in:

  • Leading enterprise-scale technology transformation programs for at least 15 years, using Agile, SAFe and/or hybrid delivery models.
  • Turning strategic priorities into integrated plans while confidently managing governance, risk, dependencies, budgets, resources and benefits.
  • Developing and executing integrated program plans across scope, schedule, budget, resources and quality, including the coordination of multiple interdependent projects.
  • Bringing interdependent workstreams, vendors and delivery partners together to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders while building collaborative, accountable teams.
