We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH) team.

In this role, you will plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate Physiotherapy services within the specialty area, utilising advanced clinical practice skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. You will play a key role in promoting patient safety and quality improvement initiatives while working collaboratively with patients, families and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal health outcomes. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will provide clinical leadership and support to Physiotherapy and support staff, assisting with supervision, coordination of duties and performance management within the clinical area. You will also contribute to service development and continuous improvement activities to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based care.

The successful applicant will demonstrate advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to professional practice in accordance with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia Code of Conduct, Registration Standards, and South Metropolitan Health Service policies and guidelines.

About Rehabilitation in the Home (RITH)

RITH enables eligible patients to return home and receive hospital-standard care while completing their recovery. Managed by the SMHS Community Services program, the service:

• Enables patients to receive safe, quality care in the comfort of their own home.
• Can reduce the length of hospital stays.
• Lessens the likelihood of requiring emergency hospital care.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and community health services across a catchment area of more than 3,300 square kilometres, serving communities throughout the southern metropolitan region of Perth.

Suitability Criteria:

In addition to the Essential Criteria and Desirable Criteria outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF), the below requirement will also be considered to determine your suitability for the role: 

• Experience in hospital or community based allied health teams as a Senior Physiotherapist.
