The Office of the General Counsel sits within the State Services Division and provides expert legal, legislative and legal policy advice and strategic solutions to the Department, Premier and portfolio Ministers, on a wide range of complex issues to support the delivery of the Government’s objectives and the effective performance of the Department's internal operations.

About the Role

The Senior Legal Officer, reporting to the General Counsel, is responsible for providing legal opinions and advice on complex and sensitive legal matters, including legal policy, legislative reform and the implementation of the legislative frameworks within which the Department and the public sector more broadly operate.

Permanent appointment:
