Are you an experienced investigator with a passion for uncovering the facts and contributing in a team environment? The CCC is looking for a Senior Investigator to join our Serious Misconduct function.
This is a fixed-term five-year contract with the possibility of a further contract and/or extension. Suitable applicants may be considered for other similar vacancies within the next 12 months.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community.
The Investigations Directorate coordinates and manages the Commission's investigative activities. The Directorate responds to reporting of, and acts to proactively identify, suspected serious misconduct within the WA public sector and WA Police. The Directorate is also responsible for leading investigations into unexplained wealth and criminal benefits across the broader WA public. The focus of the Commission's investigative activity is systemic and complex matters, which may require the use of specialist capabilities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Senior Investigator’s fulfill roles across the Commission’s Serious Misconduct and Operational Intelligence functions to conduct investigations into suspected serious misconduct within the Western Australia Public Sector, including the Western Australia Police, and to support proactive initiatives. Senior Investigators are responsible for planning and conducting investigations into suspected serious misconduct, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policy and procedure. The drive the collection of relevant information and evidence to support the formation of robust findings and impactful recommendations. They ensure the investigative actions align with the priorities of the Commission and prepare reports on investigations, briefs of evidence and relevant material in support of warrant applications, use of coercive powers and other legal processes.
The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and employment is conditional on you possessing and maintaining a national security classification of LEVEL 1 – NEGATIVE VETTING or higher.
