Position Profile and Role

Fiona Stanley Hospital is looking for a Senior Dietitian with extensive clinical experience in Endrocrinology to join our team.

This is a part-time, 0.20 FTE vacancy (15.2 hours per fortnight) available on a Permanent or Fixed Term basis, with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency. Additionally, we have a casual opportunity available to provide extra coverage.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will:

• Plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate Dietetic services to patients using advanced Dietetic clinical practice skills
• Supervise Dietetic staff and support staff in the unit/clinical area, coordinates duties and manages performance
• Acts as a Dietetic clinical consultant/resource to Dietitians and other health professionals
• Plans, implements and evaluates patient safety and quality of care
• Practices as a Senior Dietitian and ensures practice is in accordance with the Dietitians Australia National Competency Standards for Entry Level Dietitians and SMHS policies and guidelines.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is an 863-bed tertiary and quaternary hospital providing a broad range of specialised healthcare services. These include the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated mental health facilities, maternity, paediatric and neonatal care, as well as the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers highly specialised treatments such as heart and lung transplantation and hyperbaric medicine.

Adjacent to the hospital, the FSH Medihotel operates within the Aegis Health Building and provides an innovative extension of FSH healthcare services, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
