We understand that to make change you must think differently and work differently…

The Public Sector Commission is on a mission to create an innovative and future fit public sector for all Western Australians.

We have an immediate opportunity to be part of the Strategic Leadership and Talent team whose work is all about having the very best people working in and leading the sector because that means even better services for communities.

The team is designing and rolling out exciting initiatives at the forefront of leadership development and talent management thinking to develop the capability of all staff across the sector.

We’re looking for someone passionate about leadership development and talent management – and is up for the challenge of building leadership impact across the WA public sector.

You’ll design, deliver, implement and evaluate leadership development initiatives for a defined portfolio while supporting the quality, capability and delivery across the team.

You’ll engage and influence sector stakeholders by providing guidance, information and support, while drawing on the expertise of Commission specialists.

We value diversity and understand diverse workplaces are more effective and innovative. So, no matter your background, including people with disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, we encourage you to apply.

You can request flexible work and leave arrangements, and there are additional employment benefits to help you balance work and other commitments.

Applying is easy…

We’re just after:

  • a covering letter of no more than 1 page that describes how you demonstrate the following 2 suitability requirements:
  • You have demonstrated experience in end to end design, delivery, facilitation and evaluation of leadership development programs (you deliver on high leverage areas).
  • You have a track record of devising evidence-based solutions to complex problems through drawing on research, data and analysis to inform sound judgements and decisions (you think through complexity).
  • contact details for 2 work referees, one being your current manager.
