About the role
This role plays a key part in keeping the Transperth bus and ferry network safe, secure, and running smoothly. As Security Coordinator, you will lead the coordination of security operations across the network, ensuring security resources are effectively deployed to support operational objectives and deliver high-quality service outcomes. Working at the heart of a complex and customer-focused public transport environment, you will monitor contractor performance, oversee security-related projects and maintenance activities, and help ensure our customers and employees can travel and work with confidence.

You'll coordinate day-to-day security contract operations, manage contractor performance, support projects and maintenance activities, provide guidance during critical incidents, and help shape the future of security across our transport network. You'll also play a key role in identifying new technologies, reviewing emerging industry trends, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance safety, operational performance, and customer experience.
We're seeking a confident relationship-builder with experience managing large-scale security operations, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement. You'll bring strong analytical and negotiation skills, sound commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex issues with professionalism and resilience. About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and administering the deployment of large-scale security resources, related systems and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to provide direction in emergency situations.
- Experience in contract development and contract administration.
- Financial modelling skills related to contract development and contract administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procurement policy and procedures as they relate to the public sector.
- Experience in facility maintenance.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
