The Kath French Secure Care Centre (Secure Care) provides short-term intensive therapeutic care to vulnerable children who are presenting with high-risk behaviours. Part of this care occurs in a secured facility, as well as intensive therapeutic support into a community-based service. The team is committed to providing children with safe, trauma informed, therapeutic care during their stay.

As a Secure Care Worker you will have an opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team that strive to make a real difference in the lives of children every day. You will work a rotating roster, including weekends and night shifts, and a as part of a small, supportive and compassionate team that are supported by specialist education, psychology and social work staff who prioritise self-care and wellbeing. Refer to the attached Job Description Form for further information.

You will be required to work a rotating roster of 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour awake night shifts from Monday to Sunday to support the children in care in a 24/7 service.

Your work is guided by the Sanctuary Model to ensure the consistent delivery of trauma informed care to young people in Secure Care, which includes the Seven Commitments for creating safe environments. (see attached)
