The Role
The Records and Information Services Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of Records and Information Management within the Department.

We are seeking a committed and forward-thinking Information Management professional to provide leadership, direction, advice and support to facilitate information access and management across the department.

You will lead a dedicated team delivering high-quality mail, document, file management, and retention and disposal services that support the department's business objectives and legislative obligations.

Applicants must be able to:

  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge in the provision of records and information management services including the ability to implement, promote and lead innovative record keeping practices within a diverse and complex organisation.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Information Management legislation, principles and standards.

  • Have the ability to deliver on High Leverage Areas - drive excellent performance in your team, setting clear role and performance expectations, and ensuring a shared understanding.

Suitability requirements for this position: 

  • Eligibility – Information Management / Records qualifications or substantial records management experience
  • Pre employment conditions – National Police Clearance,
  • Organisational requirements – Able to lift archive boxes weighing 10-15kg
  • Visa validity - To be appointed to a position at the Department, you need to be able to provide evidence of your right to work in Australia. Permanent appointments will require Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency or New Zealand Citizenship with unrestricted work rights. Fixed term appointments will require a valid working visa.
