The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and capable property professional to join our Maritime Directorate as a Property Management Officer (Level 4).

This exciting Perth-based role supports the management of maritime property and leasing activities across Western Australia, helping to ensure the effective administration of leases, licences and property records that support the safe and sustainable use of the State's waterways, land and coastal infrastructure.

Working within a collaborative team, you will assist with a broad range of property management and leasing activities, including maintaining property records, coordinating lease documentation, conducting research and investigations, preparing correspondence and briefing materials, and liaising with property managers and stakeholders. You will also contribute to the development of property management processes and provide administrative support that helps deliver efficient leasing and property outcomes.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in commercial property management and/or leasing who enjoys working with stakeholders, solving problems, and contributing to the effective management of maritime facilities that benefit communities across Western Australia.

Please note: The business area is currently undertaking a structural review, and this position forms part of that review. As a result, changes to the Job Description Form (JDF) and reporting lines may occur in the future. This review is being undertaken in accordance with the Public Sector Management Act 1994.

The Ideal Candidate

The panel will be assessing applicants against the following suitability requirements:

1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial property management and/or leasing.
2. Interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively liaise with property managers and stakeholders.
3. Proven research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information.
5. Demonstrated commitment to the concept of customer focus and effective teamwork.
6. Work collaboratively with a diverse range of people and manage challenging interactions professionally and respectfully or
7. Build and maintain effective working relationships by listening to others, communicating openly and respectfully, recognising different perspectives, and working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
8. Relationship-focused and able to build productive partnerships
