Position Profile and Role

This is a Permanent Full-Time appointment.

We are currently seeking a Project Director to join our team in the Engagement and Transformation Department, at Peel Health Campus (PHC).

The successful candidate will develop and implement project activities aimed at realigning and integrating models of care and clinical practice within PHC and SMHS to ensure consistency with whole of Health priorities and in line with strategic direction of SMHS and the new requirements as part of the new Mandurah Hospital. 

You will research, lead, undertake complex analysis and interpretation of current and future PHC and SMHS wide issues; identifies workable solutions to maximise the intent and benefits of transition and the upcoming new Mandurah Hospital. You will lead, identify and implement process improvements at PHC within clinical and non-clinical service delivery.

You will also lead the development of a suite of strategies related to culture and employee engagement across PHC.

Peel Health Campus transitioned to South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) in August 2024, marking the beginning of an exciting new era for healthcare in the Peel-Murray region. The transition has enabled significant investment in the future of local health services, including plans for a new purpose-built public hospital on the existing site. Alongside the 192-bed Peel Health Campus, the Group includes Murray District Hospital, which provides inpatient medical, palliative care and allied health services. Together, these facilities support the delivery of high-quality care closer to home. The planned redevelopment will expand services, modernise facilities and improve access to healthcare for the growing Peel-Murray community.
