As we continue to grow and improve, we are seeking an experienced Project Contract Manager – Bridge Structures to join our supportive and driven Metropolitan Region Team based in Don Aitken Centre (East Perth).

What We Offer

You will have the option to work either a 37.5-hour or 40-hour regular work week, primarily Monday to Friday. In this role it may require you to work on a range of project sites across the Perth Metropolitan Region.

For a 37.5-hour work week, you will receive a competitive salary of $129,635 - $143,280 per annum plus 12% superannuation. If you choose to work a 40-hour week the salary will be $138,278 - $152,832 per annum plus 12% superannuation.

The appointment in the salary range will be dependent on you level of skill, knowledge and experience.

About the role

The role will provide bridge structures project contract management services within the Perth Metropolitan Region. As part of your responsibilities, you will be reporting on the delivery of bridge structures projects to ensure that projects are completed to an approved scope, budget, time and quality including undertaking project planning, risk management, budgeting, scheduling and resourcing.

The role is responsible for managing the Main Roads Bridge Crew to deliver the Perth Metropolitan Region’s bridge construction and maintenance requirements. Provide specialist technical support and directions to the bridge crew in the selection and safe operation of construction and maintenance equipment, machinery, and tools to achieve the best outcome in diverse varying environmental factors.

In addition, you will be assisting in the scoping, project development, concept design, detailed design, delivery and review of structures projects and maintenance and ensure final designs are reviewed. Reviewing and reporting on the performance of the contracts and contractors, including management of surveillance and audits will be part of your role.

The role will also be responsible to undertake consultation, liaison and negotiation with stakeholders (customers, the community, other agencies, Local Government, contractors, consultants) on the development and delivery of structures projects

• Substantial experience in structures design construction and/or maintenance and refurbishment.
• Substantial skills, knowledge and experience in the management of the bridge crew by providing specialist support and directions in construction and maintenance structures work and managing to ensure effective resource utilisation, staff performance, and capability development.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and facilitate at a high level.
• Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in building, maintaining and enhancing stakeholder relationships
