Project Contract Managers
At Main Roads, we are committed to delivering a world-class road network and creating positive, lasting impacts for WA communities. We play a critical role in overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of major roads and highways across the State. This includes managing traffic flow, ensuring road safety, and supporting infrastructure projects to improve transport efficiency.
As we continue to grow and improve, we are seeking a number of experienced Project/Contract Managers to join our supportive and driven Pilbara Region Team based in South Hedland. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to advance or commence your career in a role within State Government. Our environment encourages people to improve business practices and actively contribute to the strategic direction of the region and Main Roads.
What We Offer
You will have the option to work either a 37.5-hour or 40-hour regular work week, and also the choice to work an extra 5 hours per week of commuted overtime.
While the role is primarily Monday to Friday depending on the project you are assigned to it may require you working on remote sites across the region which attract a range of additional benefits – including overtime, meal and travel allowances.
For a 37.5-hour work week, you will receive a competitive salary of $132,643 - $145,490 per annum inclusive of commuted overtime. If you choose to work a 40-hour week the salary will be $141,487 - $155,190 per annum inclusive of commuted overtime plus 12% superannuation. The appointment in the salary range will be dependent on experience. As part of this generous salary, you will also be entitled to receive an additional 5 days of annual leave (northwest leave) and travel days or have the option to an annual percentage of 3.5% pay out in lieu of northwest leave and travel days.
In addition to the above the following may be available to new employees:
- Substantial district/location allowance.
- Main Roads will provide housing in Port Hedland at a highly subsidised rate consistent with the Government Regional Officer Housing Scheme.
- Annual leave travel concession (reimbursement of return airfares to Perth once per annum).
- Generous power subsidies
- Flexible working arrangements
- Training and development opportunities
- Health and Wellbeing focus.
All specific conditions will be confirmed at the time with the successful applicant.
