Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within DOH and/or the wider WA public sector. Position Profile: The Program Officer – Education is responsible for supporting the planning, development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of immunisation education and training initiatives that contribute to the effectiveness of Western Australia's Immunisation Program. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the position provides specialist educational support and advice to promote best practice immunisation knowledge and improve immunisation outcomes across the health sector and broader community.

The role contributes to the development of high-quality educational resources, training programs and communication materials, and assists in the coordination of education activities that support immunisation policy, practice and workforce capability. The Program Officer – Education works closely with Department of Health business units, healthcare providers, government agencies, professional organisations and community stakeholders to support public health objectives and the prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases.
