About the Role
Tenure: Appointment pool offering Permanent, Fixed-term full-time and part-time opportunities as they arise over the next 12 months
Science and Innovation, Industry and Corporate Capability builds the State’s capacity through targeted support, fostering innovation and industry capability and ensures effective and efficient administration of DEED’s financial assistance and equity programs and business support functions.
The Industry Investment Programs division is a newly established division within DEED that works on the development, integration, delivery and improvement of centralised financial industry support function, focussed on delivering the Government’s agenda across a range of industries at all stages of business development.
Program Manager Grants and Loans
The Program Manager Grants and Loans leads the management and administration of priority industry investment initiatives, including high value competitive grant and loan programs across priority WA sectors. You will be responsible for leading a team to deliver the effective allocation of and management of government investment, actively aligning grant and lending activities with departmental strategic priorities. The includes financial and credit assessment or proposals and active management of financial assistance agreements and loan deeds to support the achievement of priority government industry investment goals. The skillset for this position include experience in financial and debt management and/or the delivery of government grant programs.
Governance, Policy and Program Design Manager
The Governance, Policy and Program Design Manager leads the design and governance of industry investment programs that support Western Australia’s economic diversification, industry growth, and investment attraction objectives. The role ensures that funding programs are strategically aligned, compliant with government requirements, and deliver measurable economic outcomes, including job creation, industry capability uplift, and private sector investment leverage.
Program Manager Impact
The Program Manager Impact leads strategic impact analysis and evaluation of programs that support Western Australia’s energy transition and economic diversification priorities. You will provide strategic direction, governance oversight, and stakeholder leadership to ensure programs deliver measurable outcomes aligned with government policy and agency objectives. The skillset required for this position includes strong expertise in program evaluation methodologies, advanced data analysis, and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights.
