Are you ready to take the next step in your career and become part of a passionate, supportive school community? At Narrogin Senior High School (SHS), you’ll join a team where your contribution matters and your impact is valued.

We are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, where every staff member plays a vital role in shaping the future of our students. Whether you’re experienced in school administration or looking to enhance your opportunity to make a real impact.

The Role

Narrogin SHS is seeking a highly motivated, compassionate and innovative Program Coordinator - Student Services to provide exemplary leadership that maximises student engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and achievement through a comprehensive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. The successful applicant will ideally have a strong understanding of adolescent development, student wellbeing and evidence-based intervention practices, and a commitment to supporting students across Years 7 to 12. They will lead with empathy, professionalism and a solutions-focused approach, fostering a culture of high expectations, belonging and success for all students.

As a member of the school's leadership team, the Program Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Executive Team, Student Services staff, teachers, families and external agencies to provide strategic leadership across student wellbeing, engagement and inclusion priorities. They should contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the school's Business Plan and student wellbeing goals.

The successful applicant will ideally display expertise in contemporary student support practices, including MTSS, Trauma Informed Practice, restorative approaches, positive behaviour support, attendance improvement strategies, case management and Students at Educational Risk (SAER) requirements. They will coordinate universal, targeted and intensive supports that respond to students' academic, behavioural, social and emotional needs while ensuring equitable access to opportunities for success.

A key aspect of the role involves analysing attendance, behaviour, wellbeing, engagement and achievement data to identify trends, determine support needs and evaluate intervention effectiveness. Using data-informed decision making, the successful applicant will coordinate evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes for individual students and identified cohorts. Experience in complex case management, interagency collaboration and supporting students with diverse needs will be highly regarded.

The Program Coordinator will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of support plans for students at educational risk and ensure compliance with Department of Education policies and legislative requirements relating to student wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, child protection, disability standards and SAER processes. They will maintain high standards of documentation, record keeping and case management practices.

Recognising the unique opportunities and challenges of a regional secondary school, the successful applicant should build strong partnerships with families, Aboriginal students and communities, community organisations, health professionals and external agencies. They will promote culturally responsive practice and contribute to a culturally safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where every student feels valued, connected and supported.

Working closely with teachers, curriculum leaders and Student Services staff, the Program Coordinator will build staff capacity in wellbeing, engagement and behaviour support through coaching, mentoring and collaborative problem-solving. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to manage complex and sensitive situations, are essential.

The role also involves supporting student attendance, engagement, achievement and successful post-school pathways through coordinated interventions, pathway planning and transition support. As a dynamic and hands-on leader, the successful applicant should ideally be highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with a passion for ensuring every student is known, valued, supported and empowered to succeed throughout their educational journey.

The Program Coordinator - Student Services plays an integral role in creating a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment where all students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Through strong leadership, strategic coordination and a commitment to evidence-based practice, they will ideally contribute significantly to improving student engagement, wellbeing, attendance, achievement and post-school outcomes for the students of Narrogin SHS and the wider community.
