About the Role

Tenure: 1x Fixed-Term, Full Time until 30 September 2029 and 1x Fixed-Term Full Time until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Energy Policy WA provides policy advice to facilitate the delivery of secure, reliable, sustainable and affordable energy services.

We are seeking two proactive and strategic Principal Policy Manager and Policy Analyst to lead the delivery of complex programs and projects that support Western Australia’s households and local businesses to meet energy policy objectives. This role plays a key part in translating government priorities into practical outcomes, driving initiatives from planning and implementation through to evaluation and continuous improvement.

Working with a diverse range of government, industry and community stakeholders, you will provide expert advice, undertake research and analysis, and develop evidence-based solutions to emerging policy and program challenges. You will build strong partnerships, navigate complex issues, and prepare high-quality briefings, reports and recommendations for senior decision-makers.

You will also lead project teams and manage resources to deliver outcomes within scope, timeframe and budget. Using your strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you will foster collaboration, manage risks and influence positive outcomes across a broad range of initiatives.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with demonstrated experience delivering complex policy, program or project initiatives, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders. You will bring knowledge of and experience working in community-based projects and with communities of varied backgrounds, including culturally diverse communities.
