The Native Title Negotiations and Advisory directorate provides whole of Government strategic direction and facilitation for Government-led native title matters and negotiations. The Future Acts Unit within the Native Title Negotiations and Advisory directorate provides leadership, policy advice and coordination across Government in relation to native title future act matters and negotiations and engagement with external stakeholders to progress priority projects. Current negotiations present a critical opportunity to fulfill WA Government priorities including the clean energy transition, decarbonisation and increased economic diversification, as well as providing economic development opportunities for native title holders.

About the Role

The Principal Policy Officer (Geospatial) provides high-level policy support and advice and undertakes complex research and analysis to support whole-of-government coordination of native title matters. This includes providing technical services and advice to deliver geospatial mapping and analysis to support assessment and advice on native title matters and negotiations.
