As we continue to grow and improve, we are seeking an experienced Planning Assessment Coordinator.

 

About the opportunity:

Main Roads is seeking an organised, motivated, and passionate planning professional to join our Road Access and Planning team based in East Perth. This role involves managing a diverse range of planning matters and would suit someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and dynamic team. Working across government and with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, this position is ideal for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, while contributing to high-quality planning outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring sound knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying legislation, policies, procedures, and standards relevant to transport planning. You will also demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated expertise in planning, transport, road design, or traffic engineering.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with experience in applying planning systems and statutory processes.
  • Ability to lead people and manage resources effectively to deliver organisational outcomes.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
