We are seeking motivated female Radiographers (Medical Imaging Technologists and GDM-qualified Mammographers) to join BreastScreen WA, delivering the national breast cancer screening program throughout Western Australia.

Female applicants only: In accordance with Section 27(2)(h) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984, it is a genuine occupational qualification that the occupant of this role must be female.

This is for Permanent appointments, and may also be used for Fixed Term appointments which include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. Full-Time and Part-Time hours are available. Successful applicants may be appointed to suitable positions arising before 30 December 2027.

Visa sponsorship: We currently have limited opportunities for visa sponsorship for qualified and accredited overseas applicants seeking work rights in Australia.

Why join BreastScreen WA?

You will join an all-female imaging and screening team that combines clinical expertise with compassionate, respectful care. BreastScreen WA provides accessible, high-quality breast screening services to women across metropolitan, regional and remote Western Australia, operating 12 fixed clinics, 5 mobile screening units and 2 assessment sites across the state.

At times you may work independently in a single mobile clinic; at other times you will be part of a larger team at a metropolitan site. Wherever you are based, you will be supported by colleagues who are committed to safe practice, excellent imaging and a welcoming experience for every participant.

All clinics are equipped with full-field digital mammography and contemporary mammography technology, ensuring you have the tools and support you need to provide high quality screening care.

BreastScreen WA provides a community-based screening service with roster patterns that typically focus on daytime weekday shifts. We do not routinely roster staff for after-hours shifts, compulsory weekend work or public holidays, and services typically pause during the Christmas–New Year holiday period.
