About the role
The Sheriff’s Office of Western Australia plays a vital role in supporting the justice system and community safety across the State. Our responsibilities include:
- Enforcing civil court orders.
- Enforcing fines, penalties and infringement notices.
- Serving witness summonses on behalf of the State.
- Delivering court and tribunal security and custodial services.
- Managing jury services across Western Australia.
The Manager Regional WA – Southwest is responsible for leading the delivery of court security and custodial services across a designated region of Western Australia, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant operations that support the administration of justice.
Overseeing one of the State’s key regional portfolios, including the Pilbara and Kimberley, Murchison and Goldfields, or Southwest region, the role provides strategic and operational leadership across a geographically diverse network of courts and tribunals. The Manager works collaboratively with stakeholders to drive service excellence, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and support the consistent delivery of high-quality services to regional communities.
This is a dynamic leadership role that contributes to operational performance, workforce capability, and continuous improvement while responding to the unique challenges and opportunities of regional service delivery.
Suitability Requirements
Through the recruitment process, we will be looking for a candidate who can demonstrate skills, experience and attributes in relation to the following:
Shapes and Manages Strategy - Demonstrated experience leading complex operational service delivery, with the ability to provide strategic advice, identify operational risks and emerging issues, and develop initiatives that support organisational objectives, service excellence and continuous improvement.
Achieves Results - Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex operational environments, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and effectively through sound planning, resource management, decision-making and performance oversight.
Builds Productive Relationships - Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration, consultation and shared accountability to achieve operational outcomes.
Communicates and Influences Effectively - Highly developed communication and influencing skills, including the ability to provide high-level advice, prepare reports and briefings, manage sensitive matters and effectively communicate complex operational information to support informed decision-making.
Eligibility
It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining and maintaining a Negative Vetting Level One security clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to hold the Negative Vetting Level One security clearance.

Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered in the Perth Metropolitan area during this period.
