About the role

The Major & Capital Projects team leads a large portfolio of projects managing the development of high-quality infrastructure across Western Australia, from modern sporting complexes to world-class creative industries venues. These projects enhance community access to state-of-the-art facilities, support local talent, and contribute towards shaping a vibrant and connected future for our state. Working closely with creative industries, state sporting organisations, local governments, and key stakeholders across government and industry, you will influence projects at every stage – from early planning and feasibility through to delivery and transition to operations.

We are seeking capable and highly organised professionals to provide high-quality coordination, administration and governance support across our Major & Capital Projects Infrastructure team. These roles offer an opportunity to work at the centre of major infrastructure activities, supporting effective planning, delivery, reporting and continuous improvement.

Portfolio Coordinator – one permanent full-time (75hrs p/f) position available

In this role, you will provide portfolio-level coordination and governance support, helping to drive effective planning and delivery of strategic and operational objectives. You will support the day-to-day operations of the portfolio wide business services function to initiate, coordinate and monitor portfolio activities, prepare high-quality presentations and documentation, coordinate program wide project performance reporting, manage assurance activities and facilitate effective communication with stakeholders. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen infrastructure project and program management maturity and capability.

Project Officer – one permanent and three 24-month, fixed-term full-time (75hrs p/f) positions available

In this role, you will provide project administration, coordination and governance support to enable effective project planning and delivery. You will work with project teams to initiate, coordinate and monitor project activities, prepare presentations and documentation, coordinate working groups and facilitate clear and timely communication with project stakeholders.

Both roles require strong organisational and communication skills, sound attention to detail and the ability to build productive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing competing priorities and supporting teams to achieve high-quality outcomes. The Major & Capital Projects team is a high-performing, collaborative team that genuinely supports one another. This is a fast-paced, agile environment where priorities evolve, and no two days look the same.
