The Role

Duties include supervising the daily operations of the Library and providing reference, information and associated services to students and teaching staff; administering library management systems; maintaining and processing library resources; conducting library skills training and displaying the use of library equipment and technologies; coordinate rosters for library visits; assists students, parents and staff in selecting program- and age-appropriate library resources and designs, and creates library displays that support and complement school programs. 

The successful applicant will also be required to supervise small groups of students outside of lesson times or during class learning activities associated with the Library, while ideally fostering a welcoming, organised and supportive learning environment, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to library responsibilities the position may provide general administration support to the front office.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
