We are establishing a 12-month appointment pool for vacancies that may arise. We may offer permanent, fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.

About You
We are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in General Education and Community Pathways to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area. Typically, a General Education lecturer will have a background in teaching Foundation Skills to adults (including young adults), providing Employment Services support, or training adults in a vocational setting, such as Apprenticeships, Traineeships or entry-level workplace training.
The lecturer’s role involves delivering and assessing training, mentoring students, and maintaining current industry knowledge through ongoing professional development.

Suitability Requirements
To be considered suitable for this position, you will need:
- An Australian or equivalent qualification that confirms your specialism in teaching Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy and/or Employability Skills. Non-teaching qualifications may be relevant for Digital Literacy and Employability specialisms. If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to have your tertiary or higher education qualification(s) recognised.
- Have at least 5 years industry experience
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, TAE40110), or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024) in line with the Registration Standards 2025. Applicants who do not yet hold the required VET qualification may still apply. However, the successful candidate must enrol in an approved training and assessment qualification and complete it within two years of commencing.
- Have relevant skills and experience to meet the selection criteria and role requirements as outlined in the attached JDF.

- Possess current and valid Australian working rights (e.g. Australian citizenship, Permanent residency, or an appropriate working visa). Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Hold, or have the ability to obtain:
- Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Working With Children (WWC) Card
