The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to broaden your HR experience, build your capability and contribute to the continued evolution of a contemporary People & Capability function.

We're looking for someone who wants to be more than an administrator. Someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems, takes ownership and is committed to delivering exceptional service. You don't stop at "I don't know" - you're motivated to find solutions, improve processes and make it easier for people to get things done.

Joining the MCB's People & Capability team, you'll be supported by experienced, collaborative and energetic HR professionals who are committed to helping you succeed.

No two days are the same. You'll coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, respond to HR enquiries, maintain workforce information and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the employee experience and our culture. You'll often be the first point of contact for employees, applicants and managers, playing a key role in delivering responsive, professional and customer-focused HR services across the organisation. Key responsibilities include;

  • Manage HR enquiries and provide accurate, timely and customer-focused information to support employees and managers.
  • Coordinate and administer end-to-end recruitment activities.
  • Prepare, maintain and manage HR records and documentation in accordance with legislation, policy and organisational requirements.
  • Administer HR business systems to ensure information is current, accurate and accessible.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and service delivery, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

About Us

At the MCB, you’ll be part of something bigger than a workplace! Preserving cultural heritage, fostering community connections, and delivering vital public services. We offer a collaborative and inclusive environment where you are recognised, your ideas are valued, and your impact is felt every day.

Join us and help shape a legacy that matters. As a self-funded statutory authority, the MCB operates seven cemeteries and memorial parks across Greater Perth.

Our Aspiration; To be a sanctuary for our community, preserving history and culture and providing places for remembrance and connection.
